Yeah, give me a pro-liberty candidate running a grassroots but kinda sloppy campaign over an establishment hack like Grayson with the "professional" paid hacks.

True enough. I wonder though if the rabid right will attach like a tick in order to look somewhat legitmate for now, and try to destroy from within as Bucannon did with his farce of a presidential bid, or openly try to divide and conquor. Either way I am convinced that their kind of freedom is that offered by a Judas goat.....Too much rhetoric...and the substance that is there is silly at best.

In short, MJ is neither a protected right nor a power granted to the Feds by the Constitution (I don't care what was decided in Gonzales v. Raich. Therefore it should be left to the States.

Sean you are exactly right it is the states decision to legalize or not legalize which goes back to the large picture of what is going on right now with our fed govt. they are usurping what are the states rights by passing thiings like cap and trade, healthcare, schip, which by its very name should be decided on by the states. We have went from a ... See Morepeople that takes care of itself and its own to a people where a large portion of the population depends on the govt. for income.
NORML is a great site to visit on the subject of marijuana, my own experience...WHY is it totally legal to prescribe medications like methadone, loritab, valium, oxycodone all of which are highly addictive and whose withdraw if sudden can cause death, yet if I smoke a joint (or use a vaporizer which is better for you) then I am the bad person and I should be punished??????? But I can be a pillhead and go down to the corner bar and drink myself to death by accident, go figure.......Hemp plants have many uses not the least of which is to produce a great fabric that outlasts cotton....

Lol @ Adam and Jack.

It's amazing how many people really don't get it. Spending countless hours researching things that don't matter and making outlandish/unfounded accusations. Seems we have enough to complain about without the fluffy BS.

California, the land of dreams, has a citizenry who wants more public services but want less taxes. In truth, is California going to be the first state to declare bankruptcy, with my native West Virginia not far behind.

Oh, WV pays increasing taxes for less services. No wonder 7 of my 8 nieces and nephews had to move their families out of ... See Morestate to find work.

The overhead is eaten up in layers of non-producing administrators. Maybe the states should be required to post administrative costs just like charities are required.

Rand Paul, I'll project that you are one Senator who will read the bills that are made law unlike the current crop who do not read what they vote on.

How else can a law slip through that allows Congresspeople to have access to our tax returns.

My personal thought, If I have 48 hours to read through a 3,000 page bill, I am not going to vote for it because what normal person can read that fast?

If you live in another state than Kentucky, as I do, and are on a limited disability income, as I am, then give "$5 for Freedom" to get Rand Paul elected.

$5 does not sound like a lot until one multiplies it by 1,000,000. I believe there are at least 1,000,000 tea party members and probably millions more.

Rand, you have the volunteers, we are giving you the money. Please strike a blow to take back our government. You are not alone, we are with you.

Just stop and consider that this candidate is NOT a career politician while he is well educated on the matters that government must and must not act upon. Just think about the actual career politician dynamic and its contribution to current maladies in our congress. Then stop and consider the value of restoring a balance of power. Citizens have... See More zero input....It's not a bad idea to keep perspective on this stuff. Votes have huge ripple effects. This senate seat in the hands of the President's party is a lethal prospect.

Dear Peter there is no way outside the echo chamber you can have it both ways. I applaud your perception that there are congressional members voting. Well done indeed. Now for your consideration, if a bill were to be unconstitutional then it would be stopped either in 1. the house 2. the senate 3. presidential veto 4. challenged by the citizenry ... See Moreand removed by the supreme court. Reference if you may civil rights legislation, voting rights for minorities and women, the end of slavery which was an executive order opposing a supreme court decision, segregation, I'll keep the list short so as to stay within your attention span. The checks and balances exist already. My question is where have you gladiators been? Why now?
