The Pet Project

The Pet Project Scheduled 6 more veterinary appointments today......and Zeus is getting his surgery on Monday. You are some of the most generous people I could have ever imagined. Let's keep up the momentum....

The Pet Project We were able to help a sweet old german shepard pass away with some dignity today. I feel good about it, but also tremendously sad. I'd better toughen up.

Oh, Kasey I completely agree! After being in the medical field it's sad that we do not have an option to do that.

You have greatly inspired me to have my kitties euthanised at home when the time comes. It's gives me comfort to know that is an option as opposed to a sterile strange back room.

The Pet Project My friends......someone submitted a request for help with veterinary services. Her poor dog has a messed up knee cap as well as a torn ACL. He's making up for it by putting too much pressure on his ankle. I would very much like to help them, but this is a $2,500 surgery (if we're lucky) If anyone can help and would... like to make a donation, please visit our website. I figure if each of us can give about 5 bucks, we can do it. Thank you in advance for your help.

The Pet Project A few holidays down...one to go. For those of you with pets that don't like loud noises, don't forget to provide a safe and quiet place for then once the fireworks start.

We have a box of puppy pads. Do you know of anyone that needs them? A customer dropped them off and said to donate them to a good group.

The Lifeline Italian Greyhound Rescue could certainly use potty pads. Many rescued IGs need a LOT of work on potty training and some refuse to potty outside altogether in this weather! italiangreyhoundrescue.org

The Pet Project Help if you can....there's dog on the loose in the Standish Erickson neighborhood. His name is Carter. He's a neutered male yellow lab (american variety...not so stout), a year and a half old. My friend is heartbroken that he got out of the yard. If you see him, please grab him and give me a call. 612 251-2018

In case they don't know, the Animal Humane Society now has a Lost/Found pets section on their website. If they haven't already posted there, I would suggest they do.

Make sure to tell your friend to keep checking all of the local shelters every day...my cat went missing a year and a half ago (he came back after three nail-biting days) and I was told to check the shelters daily and actually physically go to them, because many of them don't have the resources to help people over the phone find their pets. I also posted lots of flyers (with a color photo) around town. I hope your friend finds her dog. It's heartbreaking when you have no idea where they are.
