Description
The mission of ASAP is to eradicate extreme poverty worldwide (here in the US and abroad) by mobilizing the idealism and talents of today’s students. ASAP defines the extreme poor as the most vulnerable and marginalized persons of our societies — those that fight to survive day to day. As a non-profit student organization, ASAP inspires, educates and prepares young people to be future leaders committed to abolishing extreme poverty. We invite Mr. Polak to speak about how the practical solutions to poverty outlined in his book can be applied specifically to “extreme poverty” in the United States. We would also like to hear what he thinks students can do right now to fight extreme poverty here in the US and how they can best prepare to be our future leaders committed to abolishing extreme poverty worldwide.
