Paul Dupuis Dino the Dyno -- the most loved and hated man in hockey! Remember those blow up Dino the Dyno dolls that filled the arena during the 80's??

Curt Somethings I will never forget: @ The Met = The green, black, white & gold seats, the mustard yellow benches, the Bar @ the end of the rink on the 2nd level, the tailgating all around the Met in the parking lots, @ meeting my dad @ the Thunderbird for rides home after the games. I loved the North Stars & still do. Brot...en, Smith, Ciccarelli, Plett, Mcrae, Acton, Beaupre, Bellows, C. Maniago, Bill Goldworthy, and many more. Remember the fights? - going into the stands in Boston? - The brawl before the playoff game against Chicago during warmups? ... Many, Many Many warmups! -- Basil's velcro sleeves..LOL - Norm "Greed" still sucks. The hardest thing for me to watch was when they tore down the Met. I worked graveyard shift & on my way home that morning, I stopped to watch the implosion of the Met, I was fortunate enough to grab a seat & a few bricks from the old place. I curse Norm Green, yet I cherish pro hockey in Minnesota. Go Wild, yeah even if your colors aren't very nice to look at.

That would be so awesome to have some bricks and a seat. I almost bought 2 seats off ebay a couple years ago. Couldnt afford them. Regretting not biting the bullet. I was just in Minny all the way from Alberta in September to watch my 49ers. Girlfriend and I went to the Mall of America a few times as our hotel was right by there. Everytime we went ... See Moreby that big empty lot, I just stared. I had the oppurtunity to go inside the Met in the summer of 92. I was there with my cousins when i was 13. They let us in and we walked around and I have pics of me sitting in a seat. Also saw Churla and Jim Johnson working out there.

I remember the signs by the doorways inside that read something like, "if you leave, you will not be let back in".

Curt, I am in the process of transfering all my North Stars fight tapes to DVD- 13 videotapes, almost every single fight from every season the North Stars existed. When i'm finished, buy me a bottle of good booze and provide the blank DVD's and i'll burn you some copies. I'll even throw in some of my Norm Green targets I made for the gun range

Robin

Robin I will NEVER forget! I so loved this team, that when they left, I lost a bit of myself (like many other fans)! Seventeen years it has been since they left, same amount of time I had been a fan, eerie! :(

Brian

Brian Blasphemy that there is ice hockey anywhere there isn't snow. I should know I've moved to Nashville and it is weird. Anyway, the folks here in Nashville are pretty fierce fans. Sort of reminds me of the days when I was a fierce North Stars fan.

It was MONEY and MARKETING,the NHL wanted to expand in the south and where better than the LONE STAR state Hell!! the cowboys have STARS on there helmets it just fit, it was to easy. The NHL new minnesota would be first in line for a new franchise but we had have a new arena (and norm Goofy could have got that arena approved at that time) and we ... See Moregot a new arena but lost our history.WE WERE PAWND. That is why the NHL let them move. I think the sexual harassment was a lot of smoke and mirrors. I like the wild but something just isn't the same.... just my 2 cents.
