Queensland Ballet Congratulations to QB Soloist Claire Phipps and husband Ryan on the safe arrival of their first child - a son, "Jude", born on December 29th. Everyone at Queensland Ballet is so excited about the news!
Queensland Ballet We hope all of our fans had peaceful and joyous festive season. Queensland Ballet HQ is open again, although our wonderful dancers, artistic, production and wardrobe staff still have a couple of weeks off in readiness for a busy 2010 season ahead!
Margaret Cook It is with great sadness that we announce that Leslie White has passed away following a short illness. Leslie was a pivotal member of QB in the 1970s serving as a dancer, choreographer, rehearsal director and assistant to the Artistic Director. He was a true gentleman who always gave freely of his time and knowledge to... ensure that the next generation of dancers could experience the joy of dance. He was a inspiration to us all, and our thoughts are with his family at this time. His passing leaves a gap not only in the ballet world but in all our hearts.
Real Tattam I had the pleasure of attending the Queensland Ballet performance in Baden CH this year. It was an absolutel delight to be in the audience. Congratulations on such a superb performance. A million thanks .. Anne-Marie Tattam

Anthony Shearsmith I cant believe I missed the ballet. I had tickets for Saturday nights performance but for some reason I had it in my mind that the performance began at 7.30pm - didn't I feel like a fool when I learned of the 6.30pm start - that will teach me not to read my invitation correctly. I hope the season went well for one and ...all and I look forward to the program of wonderful works next year - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. Anthony :D

Queensland Ballet QB has its final two performances of The Sleeping Beauty today and then the Company takes a well-earned break for a few weeks. Thanks for all of the great feedback about this beautiful ballet, it has definitely been one of the highlights of a fantastic year!

I attended the matinee performance ot Sleeping Beauty yesterday, sitting in my usual front row seat, alongside a young friend, who enjoyed it as much as I did. Bravo to a brilliant performance! Congratulations especially to Nathan, young Jessica, brilliant Teri (what a lovely smile) and Yui in the Bluebird pas de deux,... and sublime performances by Rachel and Alex.
