If only my Sister was between 16 and 21 (age requirements) she would be perfect for this. After all, she is the State Fair Queen!!!!

Getting old has some definite drawbacks...in this case especially. I would be so interested that we should get an older group going. Maybe we should form the group and then advise them???

If I am not mistaken, I believe they were adding that age group to their already excisting advisory team, that includes all of the older generations.

My "passion for the Great Minnesota Get-Together" didn't even start until 25 years ago, so obviously I'm too old for this Advisory Team.

so I take it they don't want any of us older experienced people on the advisory board?

I've never seen so many people complain about being too old before LOL They already have enough "old ppl" on the board because we volunteer without asking, the young ones need to be coerced :)

I'm of age but unfortunately I am living in IL for husbands school... First time living out of state, and i'm missing a GREAT opportunity.. BUMMER!!

Keep in mind, we are true Minnesotans, and to be a true Minnesotan, you must posses the "complainer" gene...its too hot, its too cold...she's too young, he's too old...if one is to place an age limit on this comittee, how can they call the Fair, "fair"

I really think minnesotans of all ages should be apart of something like this. I would hate to think the only people to give feedback are young kids. I get that the point is to keep next generations involved but I become afaid that this could change what makes this fair great. And I'm only 27. I love the fair the way it is. But that's me.

I agree that this should be for fair lovers of ALL ages, especially considering it is mostly people over 21 who spend the most time and money at the fair.

Is 33 too old? I'm game! But think a 33 yr old isn't cut out for what you're looking for.

Too old or would be excited about sharing my ideas. I've been to the Fair 63 straight years and have seen a lot of changes.

Dawn, I think that's why they're trying to get a young person advisory board. They are hoping that this will encourage young people to come out more. :) And has been said many times in this thread, the current advisory board already consists of all the other age groups.:)
