Emily is a sweet lady who goes to our church. Her and her husband David are expecting their 1st. A little boy they’ve already announced as Johnathan He is due some time in Feb. and im sure will just be adorably cute and oh so fun for them.

I recently got the chance to photograph this beautiful ladies family before Christmas. NOW I got the chance to photograph her for maternity portraits. Shes always a pleasure to shoot and I adore how her photos turned out. Her husbands a great model 2

I blogged about this dreawood.com/?p=3039 but wanted to share it here.
Any how what I wanted to do was get some classic portraits of my boys. Because it was FREEZING out here in NC i opted to just do them inside real quick. My youngest son turned 3 and I knew if I didnt go ahead and do it 3 would pass and 4 would be her...e before I knew it.
I am almost 7 mo. pregnant however and didnt feel like setting up my backdrop stand, etc..etc... to do the full indoor portrait deal :)
SO instead I got a piece of FLOORING (that i typically use as flooring for newborns)... and leaned it up against a chair haha ... put a little toy chest about 2 feet in front of the flooring piece... and then started the shoot. The flooring was kind of narrow... so my negative space area lacked... I had to make all the portraits vertical.. but thats ok! :)

NOW choice of outfits LOL..
KINDAAA TACKY I KNOW.. but it was Taites birthday.. and his theme was transformers... and it was cold so they had red jammies under those to keep them warm.. but you know.. when I thought about it .. its sweet to capture them in their fav. outfits like this.. despite the colors not being ideal for pictures. Also Caleb (my oldest) his hair.. well it was messy from sleeping weird... but I left it that way for memory sake as well. I want to remember those messy morning looks 2!
OOOOOO an to those wondering how I got them to smile so good..
CANDY, CANDY, EXTREME EXCITEMENT ON MY PART OVER THE FACT THAT WHEN WE FINISHED WE GOT TO GO PLAY and also SCREAMED REALLY LOUD AT THEM (in a funny way), it worked great!

Andrea Wood - Photographer Excited about a newborn session coming up 1st of next week and a family session this weekend. A few more shoots before Christmas and ill be done.. Dont forget if you have any Christmas orders you want placed or a christmas card made up (just for u!), email me by the 2nd week in Dec.. that will be the cut off week for orders.
