snow emergencies routes are permanently marked with blue street signs and red snow emergency route signs. the rules for when and where you can park are on the website. If you don't have internet access, you can watch a newscast, read a newspaper, sign up for phone or text alerts or twitter, or call 612-348-snow. They spell it out pretty clearly for you there.

Minneapolis Snow Emergency It's day 2 of the Snow Emergency. From 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. DO NOT PARK on the EVEN side of non-Snow Emergency routes and DO NOT PARK on either side of parkways. Parking is allowed on the ODD side of non-Snow Emergency Route streets and both sides of streets with the red sign: "Snow Emergency Route."

A Snow Emergency will be declared no later than 6 p.m. on any given day. At 9 p.m. on that day, Snow Emergency parking rules begin.

Minneapolis Snow Emergency starting at 9 tonight until 8 a.m. tomorrow DO NOT PARK on either side of the street with the red "Snow Emergency Route" signs. Parking is allowed on either side of non-Snow Emergency routes.

Make sure you follow the parking rules to avoid ticket and tow. haaa that happened to me. they towed my broken car last winter. So not only did I get to stand in a 4 hour line in teh cold, but got to lug this portable battery charger hoping I can get my car back home. Car is fixed now though!!! cross fingers no problems this year!

Minneapolis Snow Emergency Before Snow Emergency season starts, we need to sweep the streets. Fall street sweeping starts Tuesday, Oct. 27. Parking rules are posted now on the City's web site. Street sweeping schedule goes live the weekend of Oct. 24.
