They like that the story was posted - I doubt it means they find the content to be good news. Instead of a like or dislike button - there should a 'thanks for posting this" button.

Good points @ Neil and Patricia! All I can say is that life is hard but things eventually work out. All this violence is so unnecessary.

Apparently is was a former employee who last worked there about a year ago. I can totally see something like this happening to someone whose unemployment is running out -- people are going to get desperate and they are going to get crazy. The slow destruction being wrought upon this country today is as equal in seriousness as the threat of terrorism.

I am wondering just how much endless war, mindless tax cuts, miserable econcomy equals VIOLENCE.

Yeah, completely outlawing guns will prevent things like this from happening. Just like completely outlawing certain drugs has worked so well in eliminating drug related problems. Wake up people, eliminating your rights won't prevent criminals from committing crimes. Let's ASSUME that outlawing guns would prevent criminals from having access to... See More them (which is beyond delusional), do you really think that people will have no way to commit mass murder?

At least I know I will be able to defend myself if something similar happens near me. Maybe people who seem only capable of making knee jerk reactions will be saved by their initial reaction to scream and run.

Bobby Duke: ""Bear Arms" refers to military service, which is why the plural is used (based on Greek 'hopla pherein' and Latin 'arma ferre') – one does not bear arm, or bear an arm. The word means, etymologically, 'equipment' (from the root ar-* in verbs like 'ararisko', to fit out). It refers to the 'equipage' of war." --Dr. Gary Wills, professor of history, Northwestern University.

Loren asks me why...
Really I don't know... It happened only once, here in Belgium - a man killed babies in a kindergarden - and we are still wondering why...

Maybe we could blame it on tv, video games, and Internet
Maybe we could blame it on education, families and school... See More
But would that be true?
Maybe we could blame it on weapons available like lollipops in a candy store ?

I think it is a global issue, a society more and more individualistic, with no sens of community, where people don't care anymore for anyone, where everybody struggles to go on with his own life, dealing with his own issues...

And if we don't change this society, I don't think things will be better

Well, this may be sound a bit philosophic but...
