In Ghana skul rules dnt permit u 2 hav grown hair so most of us got our 1st perm @ d age of 18. We went thru high skul wit down cut. Until Afrcn Americn mothers mk a policy dat wil only a child who is 18 n above 2 perm her hair 2 problm wil nt b solvd

Loved the Good Hair Documentary. Just wished more of our people went to see it. I tried to enlighten all I know. But you know our people sometimes don't wanna hear the truth.

It is funny because I have always had long thick hair because of my grandmother is Cherokee Indian. People have always thought my hair was fake and now they are bold enough to ask to feel it which is funny.

Great movie-- very true. Black women are serious about our hair. But I dont think Ive paid more than $150 for a weave/labor when I had one..that part was a trip!
