Since I already had got a copy of The Jade Peony, its selection was a good push to get it off the shelf and actually start reading it. The procrastination was silly; this is appealing and compelling.

I may be cheering for this one to win.

Good characterization -- I especially like the superstitious grandmother.

I hate the graphic inserts they are distracting and unnecessary. Please let Peter and Wendy sit down its like an awkward cocktail party without the drinks. Besides, its strange looking at the back of his head when he is talking to a big screen. You can keep the new set, American as it is, but put in some chairs or an intimate section for interviews and kill the bottom bands!
